Some Very Welcome Visitors....

The past few weeks have been great. Jordan's mom flew into town on the 21st of March (her birthday) and it was so wonderful to have her stay with us. Lucy and Kathy have always had a very special bond, and it took no time at all for Lucy to cozy up to Grandma.
We celebrated Kathy's birthday with some chicken parmesan and strawberry shortcake for dessert.
It was so nice to have Kathy's help around the house. Jordan is still working 75-80 hour work weeks, so to have another adult around was fantastic. She helped cook, clean, entertain Lucy, shop, and she even got up with Lucy in the mornings so I could sleep in. Basically the woman is a saint. We also sewed some more pillows and potted plants together.

Kathy stayed with us for a week and half before Jordan's dad, John, came into town. He arrived on conference Saturday, and Jordan was able to take work off so it was a great day. Conference here is delayed two hours which was a little different, but it was so nice to sit in our home and listen to the leaders of the church. It made me a little homesick to be perfectly honest.
Poor Jordan was exhausted, but managed to stay awake for most of conference.
Lucy and I made some Easter cupcakes to keep her entertained during the second session.
She is furiously shaking the sprinkles here.
Lucy and Grandma had a fun playing play-doh, painting and coloring.
Unfortunately, Kathy got REALLY sick and spent most of the time John was here in bed. I felt so bad that she felt so awful. John, Lucy and I took a few day trips while she slept.
We drove up to Allatoona Lake.

We also drove to Senoia. John wasn't particularly interested in shopping in the boutiques, but he was okay with a trip to the ice cream shop. Lucy was also very okay with it.
Kathy felt a little better the last couple of days and helped us dye Easter eggs.
The last day they were here, we went to the Georgia Aquarium. Lucy loved showing Grandma all her favorite things at the aquarium. She keeps asking me, "Where's Grandma and Papa?"
We were so sad to see them go. Come back any time!! We love you guys.
