Utah Trip....

Wow.  Been awhile.  A LONG while.  I haven't posted since Valentine's Day.  I have a good reason though.  I had no room on my computer for pictures.  Seriously.  I couldn't put one more picture on my computer.  So, there it sat for months.  It took a trip to the Apple Store to have them free up space so I could use it again.  Unfortunately, I am ridiculously behind in blogging. Let's be honest.  I'm not sure anyone reads blogs anymore.  If so, that's okay.  This has been a good way for me to document the day-to-day happenings in our lives.  For that reason, I'm trudging ahead.  I'm going to catch up.  Prepare to be inundated.

In February I went to Utah with my kids.  Jordan was still in the throes of 'busy season', so he was unable to join us.  I spent a few days at my parent's house.  A huge storm had just come through, so we got to play in the snow!  We miss the snow living in Georgia.

After spending a few days in Utah, my mom and I flew with the kids to Vancouver, BC to visit my grandparents.  They are in their 80s, and I want to spend as much time with them as I can.  The night before we left, Lucy came down with the stomach flu. The next morning my mom and I came down with it as our plane was taking off.  It was a long flight.  By the time we got to Vancouver we were both horribly sick.  Unfortunately, we ended up getting most of the family sick including my grandpa, aunt, uncle, and some cousins.  Oops.  It was so good to spend time with my grandparents.  Here is my Grandpa Ursaki holding my cousin, Erin's baby, Charlie and Lucy.

My mom bought this cute princess tent at the Costco up there.  It was Lucy's domain in the living room.

Erin and I at White Rock Beach.

Lucy's favorite activity was feeding the ducks.

 Charlie and Adam.

One of my favorite things about Canada is their poutine.  Poutine is a French-Canadian dish involving french fries, gravy and cheese curd.  It is pretty much the tastiest (and fattening) thing ever.  Anyway they sell poutine in the Costcos in Canada.  Oh, and their ice cream is much better.
After spending 10 day in Canada, the four of us flew back to Utah.  For the rest of the week we stayed with the Walkers.  Charlie liked to snuggle with his Papa Walker.
Charlie and Lucy are lucky kids.  They have six great-grandparents still living!  I managed to get pictures with every great-grandparent on this trip.  This is Jordan's Grandpa Parker.
 And Grandma Parker.
Lucy had an unfortunate fall on my grandparent's porch in Brigham City and had a pretty gnarly scrape on her nose for the rest of the week.  She and Abbi had a great time playing together though!

We had so much fun with the Walkers.  The girls spent time coloring with Grandma.
We spent a day at the Hogle Zoo to see the new Rocky Shores exhibit.

 We partied hard at Boondocks.

One afternoon I took the kids up to Brigham City to visit with my Grandma and Grandpa Hale.  I love these pictures I got with them snuggling Charlie!

Charlie is a lucky boy to have so many grandmas and grandpas who love him.
The flight home with just me and the kids was a nightmare.  It could definitely be a blog post unto itself.  Basically it consists of me being trapped in the middle and window seats by a very tall man, Lucy needing to go to the bathroom at least six times, and Charlie blowing out and screaming for at least half of the flight.  I almost had a nervous breakdown.  It was that bad.  Despite my very bad, horrible, awful flight home, the rest of the trip was wonderful.

Oh, Laur, you had a horrible experience last time you flew alone, right?! You poor dear. How do you get such good pictures of Charlie smiling? He's just one of those perfectly happy little guys, isn't he? I love you, your family, and all the photos with the grandparents!!
